Star Menu

This project was developed as an experiment with Car-PC user interface. The goal was to test the usability of a Star Menu concept. The tool demonstrates the use of several technologies that might be useful such as .Net Interop, Abducting and releasing a window, use of Windows Media Player Active X control and more.

This was compiled with Visual Studio 2003 Builder but the features are not different for any other environment and should compile without modification.

This is what the menu looks like:

When a button is clicked (for example Internet) the application is started (i.e. IE) and the window is abducted to appear as an integral part of the star desktop.
